Claymore

Genre: Dark Fantasy, Action
Rate: 9/10

Synopsis
This is a story of a group of half-human and half-yoma (yoma=monster) fighters. They belong to an organization that accept request to eradicate yoma from the attacked town. The story is led by a female protagonist, Clare. She had recused a boy name Raki. I don't want any spoiler here, so that's it. This is an absolute serious anime. There was no comedy, but a bit of romance and friendship I may say. I love the plot and think that it is better than most of the new anime released nowadays.

Story telling
I like how they tell the story here. The story started from the current journey of the heroine, Clare and her encounter with Raki. In this part, the necessary details of the organization Clare was working for were told. After that was a flash back to the back story of Clare, which connected to what she would do next. After the flash back, every episode built up the tension so well. I like how they kept me excited about the next thing I would find out. Every episode was a flash to me. I ended up watching 6 episode back-to-back without a boring second. I am not so satisfied with the ending though. But it makes sense to leave it that way.

Character
The character building was nice. However, the characters of the organization were all blond, so sometimes it was confusing who was who. But as soon as the character had any action or conversation, I knew immediately who it was. Plus, almost every important character had a special fighting style, so it was even easier to recognize.

Graphic
The graphic, well, is not really the type I love, but I think it fits to the atmosphere of the anime very well. With serious plot going on, they can't have the cute art style here. The color is a bit plain, I think. It is not as vivid as the new anime series. The most beautiful character was Teresa.

Overall Opinion
For me, this is just the right anime I need. I love the fighting and blood. Without any boring delay or flash back, I was so into the anime every second. There are anime that makes me bored and sleepy, but this one definitely keeps me excited. Claymore doesn't contain any complicated logic that I can't understand. All in all, I love this anime series and it is 100% recommended for people who enjoy action genre.
