11eyes: Tsumi to
Batsu to Aganai no Shōjo is a story about a group of high school students who are
summoned into “Red Night” and for some reasons they are target of “Black
Knights” who claim they should be dead. Its genres are: action, echhi, super
power, and supernatural.
First off, there
are quite many panty shots in the first few episodes and it tries to include some
adult content at the nearly end, which do not fit in the serious story line
very well. After finishing this anime, I found that it is an adaptation of an
adult visual novel. So that explains the things I saw.
The story telling
pattern is very similar in each episode. Happy school life followed by entering
“Red Night”. But in that boring pattern, the story is moving forward bit by
bit. It wasn’t until nearly the end that you understand the whole big picture,
which is a strategy that other anime like Durarara!!, K Project, and Mirai
Nikki use. However, 11eyes didn’t do a great job in this. They hold the
information for too long time and release it all at once in the nearly end,
which makes me feel bored on the way. I lost the motivation on the way. Not
until the last 3 episodes that I picked it up back.
Overall, the story
is interesting, but the story telling sequence is a pity. The visual appearance
is nice, even though it was released in 2009. By the way, there is a manga
adaptation too.
Not a bad try.
