Acchi Kocchi

Acchi Kocchi or Place to Place has a classic element of anime -- exaggerated emotions, and I really like it here. The way they insert romance is very suitable, too. Although it might be a little bit cheesy for some people, I think it matches the characters very well. Talking about the characters, they all have vivid personalities of their owns. The chemical reactions between them make the anime hilarious. However, there are a lot of jokes are made upon Japanese puns, so it might be a bit hard for me to understand.

The whole anime is based on a concept of cat. You can see cat or cat related effects everywhere -- even the name of the high school. They even have a cat statue. Tsumiki, a main character,  turns into cat sometimes. I am a cat lover, so the whole thing is so cute to me. One more thing I really like is the little illustration of arrows between scenes and in every letters. The plot happens only on the main characters. There are five in total, and other three will join in some episode. How about background characters? They are blurred and mostly have no motion, which is very unique.

Comparing to Nichijou, the jokes in Nichijou is stronger, and the exaggeration are over-the-top. However, Nichijou has little romance element. Although the story is in school, it is not as boring as K-On (personal idea, sorry).

To sum up, Acchi Kocchi is a good anime to relax and sometimes melting in the sweet romance.
